Stevens Institute of Technology to hold planned giving seminars November 4 & 12

Stevens Institute of Technology will conduct two Planned Giving Seminars for investing planning on Nov. 4, at 9:00 a.m., at the Sheraton Meadowlands in Secaucus, N.J. and on Nov. 12, at 9:00 a.m. in the Hyatt Regency in Princeton, N.J., respectively. These sessions are held in conjunction with the Independent College Fund of New Jersey.

The first seminar on Nov. 4, at the Sheraton Meadowlands will cover "Using Charitable Trusts To Create Lifetime Income." The session will be conducted by Robert Shive, investment executive, PaineWebber, who will discuss giving qualified retirement assets, definition and differentiation, tax issues regarding each, and how to fund through appreciated stock and real estate.

The second session at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton, "Charitable Trusts/Charitable Lead Trusts," will cover definition and differentiation, tax issues regarding each and how to fund through appreciated stock and real estate. The session will be conducted by James Hohn, vice president and manager of Charitable and Endowment Management, PNC Bank.
