Stevens partners with global cost management group

WebCampus to deliver online graduate programs and short courses to AACE members

HOBOKEN , N.J. — Stevens Institute of Technology’s online learning unit, WebCampus, announced recently a partnership with the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) to provide members with discounts to leading-edge online graduate degree programs and training opportunities.

Since 1956, the 5,500-member AACE International has provided members with resources to enhance their performance and ensure continued growth and success. The professional society serves cost-management professionals, including cost managers and engineers, project managers, planners and schedulers, estimators and bidders, and value engineers. The organization has members in 78 countries.

Recognized as the “best online university” by the Sloan Foundation, WebCampus currently offers more than 160 courses, allowing students to complete an MBA in Technology Management, 12 different master’s degree and 33 graduate certificate programs in science, technology and management. This year, WebCampus was given the 21st Century Best Practices Award in higher education by the US Distance Learning Association.

Starting next year, in cooperation with AACE, Stevens will create specialized online training programs for industry certification, including PSP, CCC and EVP. WebCampus will deliver exam preparation courses, allowing members to gain fundamental understanding of concepts before sitting for their exams. WebCampus online courses permit students to interact with one another and their instructors using online discussion boards, practice tests and web conferencing. To encourage members to enroll in the school’s online graduate programs, Stevens offers members rebates off its regular graduate tuition.

AACE members join more than 900,000 other society members who participate in WebCampus partnership programs. Eight associations, including internationally prominent groups—IEEE, ASME, AICHE, ACM, GWEC, NECA, NSPE and SNAME—have already concluded agreements with Stevens. AACE is the ninth association to join the online program.
